Acadia National Park, Maine

After staying two weeks in Baxter State Park, I got very used to hitch hiking and look at it in a totally different perspective.  I do, however, warn people to be very alert and "follow your gut instinct". Benjamin Jenks of Adventure Sauce put out an excellent article on his hitch hiking tips. No doubt, this guy has a professional cardboard thumb!

After hitching two rides to Bangor, Maine, I stayed the night at Hollywood Casino where I saw the Blackhawks win another Stanley Cup.  Incidentally, the bartender was trying to be funny by saying that they don't accept credit cards that have the 'Hawks on them.

For $40 the Bar Harbor Shuttle took me to Bar Harbor in about about 1.5hrs.

Bar Harbor is the hub for numerous things in that area of Maine.
